Source2VALUE™ / Trend analysis

Trend analysis

Trend analysis is an instrument that allows you to gain insight into the development over time of the different measurements. These are, among others, measurements such as:
  • Version differences: for quantitative insight into how much and what has been changed, added, and deleted over time
  • Identified clones: for quantitative insight over time into those sections of the software that occur several times in the application
  • Naming conventions: for quantitative insight over time of the naming conventions that are incorrectly observed
  • Programming rules: for quantitative insight over time of the incorrectly observed programming rules
  • Cyclomatic Complexity: for quantitative insight over time into the testability of the application
  • Maintainability: for insight into the maintainability of the application over time
  • Amounts: for insight into, among others, the number of components and the number of lines of code over time
  • Function points: for insight into the development over time of the size of the application in (maintainability) function points

With Trend analysis, you can navigate through the structure of the application and view and compare the trend development at each level of the application. You can also jump to other Source2VALUE™ viewers in order, for example, to view the measurements or the source code.
